FOREST CREEK

Whistler, BC
Townhouse, 1700 sq. ft.
Completion: 2013

Forest Creek involved the transformation of a rustic ski cabin into a contemporary mountain home. Rich walnut millwork and warm tones of grey were employed throughout the home. The neutral tones of the tiles, carpet, concrete and countertops allowed the millwork to become the feature making the mountain retreat warm and inviting. The fireplace was replaced with a modern design and the stairwell was opened up to allow natural light to filter through the space. The main floor guest bedroom was converted into the media room with a new large barn door to create a sense of union with the living area. The feature walnut paneling frames the kitchen, dining and living rooms, defining each area within an open plan.
