Lynn Gentile, B.A.AID Principal Designer
A graduate of Ryerson University in Toronto, Lynn received a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Interior Design in 1988. She has practiced interior design in Canada and abroad including a term in London, England working on high end residential and commercial projects including upgrades to the English National Opera building. Lynn also gained experience with Yabu Pushelberg, Canada’s premier hospitality and retail design firm. In her role as Senior Project Designer she led the design concepts for a number of top Canadian retail brands as well as international clients.
The appeal of the west coast and the healthy mountain lifestyle of Whistler, British Columbia lured Lynn away from the city life of Toronto. Her new environment and lifestyle were also the impetus for ‚ÄėSpin Designs‚ÄĚ, a line of home accessories that were marketed throughout Canada and the US. The designs were featured on the pages of Canadian House and Home and Flare magazines and were selected to be part of a national exhibition showcasing Canadian female contemporary visual artists.
Lynn established Cabin Fever Interiors in 1999, expanding her portfolio to offer a full range of residential interior design and project management services. Lynn stays current with design trends and has had the privilege of being part of a Canadian architectural delegation invited to Italy on several occasions to visit the Abitare il Tempo and Marmotec design shows, showcasing the latest in International design and manufacturing. Lynn has been active in promoting green construction and design practices in Whistler and is involved with the Canada Green Building Council.
