A Bermudian couple wanted to transform their 1980s condominium into a calm, contemporary mountain retreat. With only 850 square feet the clients required an additional bedroom and efficient storage solutions whilst creating a sense of openness in the awkward, pie-shaped space. CFI re-planned the space, raised the ceilings throughout and provided the required storage which included lock-offs for musical instruments, printers, private storage and outdoor paraphernalia. The design process was very similar to designing a boat and some ingenious storage solutions arose from this idea including the all-in one laundry facility disguised in the kitchen cabinets. Many ecologically sustainable and locally produced finishes and fixtures were specified.
